I began working on two themes for a few weeks, and one I chose was macro nature. I wanted to get as close as I could to display nature in a different way. This is one of my favorite photos in the series because it shows a different side of nature, it shows the harsher side. The snake is in focus, but the dog's mouth is slightly out of focus showing motion. Being macro gives the image a simplistic look that goes well with this image. If the whole dog were in the photo the same effect would not be displayed because the dog's teeth on the snake would no longer be as strong a point of interest.
