Cassius

Cassius is a boy I used to babysit frequently. He and his brothers were constant subjects in my photos because they were fun, cute, little kids. Cassius was very shy and so, when possible, I tried to capture pictures of him. This was a rare moment where I got him to smile at me and quickly snapped the picture. This photo worked for me because of the rule of thirds, with him off to the right. I was also pleased with the difference of contrast in the background.

Tracks

I was walking the downtown mall with my camera when I got the idea to go to the top of the parking garage. From the top I saw this old building next to the train tracks and began to take this photo at multiple exposures. I then compiled the different exposures into one photo, after which I began to play around with different effects. I think that the line of the tracks and the building lead to the horizon where the movement of the clouds is shown.

Goodbye

I was seeing my sister off to college and knew this would be the last time for a while where I could make her my photo subject. We began to explore her campus and found this bench with the ivy around it. She sat down and I began to take a few pictures. When I looked at the film I was pleased with this photo. This photo worked for me because of line the back of the bench creates. The back of the bench leads my eye directly to Paige's face.
