Hesitation

 

It was one of those days where my sister and I went out and photographed each other. We walked and occasionally stopped and took some photos. There is this old run down house along the driveway where we lived. She opened the back screen door of the house and looked back while I snapped photos. This one I played with a little and decided I liked the black and white look the best. I like how the door and the tree branch framed Paige.

Burnished Clarinet

 

 

 

The clarinet was the second instrument I decided to take up. I wanted to work with digital flash and wanted to make my clarinet the subject. I experimented with different angles until I got this photo. The variety in this photo is what caught my eye. There is a clear contrast difference and the way the light falls shows the texture of the well used clarinet.
